[... so, yeah, it probably won't mean much to a lot or most of the people here, but this guy's wearing black pants and a black jacket and boots, but what's probably the most interesting is the red shirt he has.

Getting another chance to be in this sort of situation... it's interesting.

Being dead is not something new to you, then?

Ah... no. That was a new experience.

Being in a situation where our lives are in the hands of gods, however...

Our lives are always in the hands on one god or another, it would seem.

As to that, I've never had proof beyond these fading, interfering gods.

Sometimes gods are not just the ones others see...

But you have had meddling types before?

You could say. But it was more that they specifically went after people desperate enough to willingly go through trials in order to gain a wish. They would use those people to keep them alive--worship them, essentially, by partaking in those challenges, various games the gods--the Judges--would hold.

They don't sound much too different from the ones here...there may not be challenges here but these gods demand their own sacrifices to go with their own purposes.
