[It's hard for a god concerned with bringing back civilization not to be restless lately--especially with how things had been progressing--Anima's "celebration" probably didn't put them in a better mood either.

Those gods still interested in pulling in new souls seem to have been having a hard time of it. Generally unused to working together in a large group for consistent periods of time, many gods have wandered off or become indisposed in various ways, and the number of them able or willing to donate their power keeps fluctuating. For a while now it seemed as if they were casting out their lines and coming back with nothing.

Even so, they continue to cast out blindly, but being unable to truly see beyond the borders of their own world's realm, to determine what's going wrong, it's difficult to say if this desperate bid has stopped working...

But today, something a little unexpected happens...]

Oh, not much. Being dead, hanging around. Nothing of use.

Sort of. Everything was vague, but that much stood out. Why are you asking?

Because something is different about your arrival and I am trying to figure out why.

And then you were here?

Why does it matter to you?

Because I am of the ones who brought you here and there is something different about your arrival.

And we don't know why.

Do you usually not ask permission? I was wondering if everyone gets a nice talk...

There was a voice. But it's rude to drag people into your problems without asking, don't you think? You're lucky I was interested.

Sometimes rudeness can't be avoided.

A few things. That people were fixing something, mostly. I was bored, so I figured "why not"?

Did they say anything else, besides asking if you wanted to come and that we were fixing things?

That I was sought. Kind of implied it wasn't the one doing the seeking. And that I couldn't go wherever I would have otherwise gone. Not that is matters much to me.

It would be us who sought you. This is a new entity.

Right. It's obviously interested anyway.

Yes. So far, it seems more benevolent, but this is very...unexpected.
