[The air is warm and the wind outside the headquarters blows gently filled with the scents of warm earth, living plants, and the sweet perfume of flowers in the air. Just outside the doors from the HQ, there are poles set up, with strings linking them together. Suspended along the strings are a series of cast bells though only a few have papers attached to set them ringing gently in the afternoon breeze.

There is a table near the top of the entrance with more strips of paper, pens, and a note:

Your hopes and wishes may be written here, loved ones remembered, dreams recorded.

If you choose to look at the strips already hung, you'll find: "Happiness." "Peace." and "Love." ... and one in a script that cannot be read though the symbol at the bottom is a stylized flame and swirl of wind]

[He's disappointed for a brief moment.

Then his brain starts to Kotomine. Enemies of Kiritsugu's enemies? Doesn't that mean that she's dad's enemy too?

He had a feeling, but he's certain of it now.

That's a little disappointing, but it can't be helped, can it?

[She wants to protest, wants to say that it could be changed if he would just stop being so stubborn. But he can't do that anymore than she can. And she knows it.]

That's right. It can't be helped. If you want to hurt him, we're enemies.

That's fair, though, isn't it? I don't think I could be anything but enemies with someone who'd oppose my dad!

I never wished for anything bad to happen to him. I thought he was --

[She stops. It seems messed up to say "I thought he was a friend." Well, it's not really accurate either. He had always been crazy and dangerous and really obviously suspicious and he definitely wasn't ever a good guy, but. He had helped her. And for some stupid reason, she had liked him, in a weird way.]

I thought he was on my side. But he tricked me and betrayed me in the end.

[A pause.]

Just give me that paper and I'll go away.

No way, I don't really give my enemies anything.

[He doesn't get it -- well, perhaps he'd never get it, since that's not really his dad she knew, but still. He's quite convinced dad only messed with her because she's too much of an Emiya.]

... I don't want to fight you, Kotomine. Please just leave us in peace, and we'll do the same with you.

No. If Dad sees it, he'll be hurt.

He doesn't have to see, and it's pretty rude to take away my wish.

[He.... he begins to hand it over. Because gosh, yes, Emiya suffering. We're OK with this.]

[Taking the piece of paper and shoving it into her pocket. And then just. Glancing around.]

We shouldn't do it here, though. People might see.

[Unless it's your apartment. Then he'll really be unhappy]

Well, sure, but it's a little messy.

I used to have a tarp to put it all on, but lately I've just been scrubbing the blood off every time.
