That's the sound of a big, flower-sprouting scratching at the glass. She seems to have a young buffalo-thing in her maw. The young buffalo-thing has had a bad morning, but is mostly intact as far as a kill go. She flaps her wings once, twice, steadying herself on the ledge.

Okay, so... fever, delirium, and a whole lot of pain. For you, it'd probably last a few hours to about half the day, depending on the size of the dragon and the size of the bite.
