[So, a young man in casual clothes with a deep royal-purple kimono draped over his shoulders is loitering around today near the fountain or between the stairs-now-with-elevators and the shrine area, watching people come and go.

Once in a while he'll ask a question, just kinda out loud to whoever in the area is listening, or directly to whoever's passing by.]

Yo~! In the interest of challenging yourself and your beliefs a little, tell me about what you think of being here. Like how you feel about the circumstances of being brought here or living a new life, that sort of thing.

It's got a lot to do with complementing who you are as a person.

Like with Lenalee, in addition to the fact that she is beautiful, intelligent, witty, caring, kick-ass and all around a perfect match for you, you and her complement each other very well. You provide her with humor, distractions, attention to make her feel special and she gives you emotional support and stability in return.

Ace complements you in different ways. His kind of emotional support is more candid and straight up how it is, which appeals to your more logical side. It's still there, yanno, even if it gets overrun by feelings a lot. And the two of you are comfortable enough with each other that he can poke you hard enough to push you out of your comfort zone. Which is good for you. The feelings thief part is in his favor, too, cuz as someone who has had years of experience wearing a mask, you're pretty damn good at hiding what you feel. Ace being able to see through it is well... hmmm, I wouldn't say it's a guilty pleasure but it adds to the appeal, I think.

Also, despite your protests, you like teasing and banter, so it's natural that you would be attracted to someone who can keep up and outdo you. Ace is fun, and Ace is a challenge. And he's also sturdy enough so you don't have to hold back around him. You can be you all the time no matter what you're feeling which I think is a gold star for anyone.

Plus he's good looking. I can admit that. Even if his face is stupid.

You know me pretty well, geez.
