Who: Kagamine Len and YOU
When: Day 118, evening
Where: Shrine area
What: Got ourselves a newbie.

[There's a boy in the shrine area today and wearing quite the outfit. For the particularly observant, he doesn't seem to be breathing. At all.]

[But his eyes do open and some might notice his eyes aren't dilating. He doesn't move besides that, but he starts talking, his voice monotone, expression blank.] An unexpected shutdown has occurred. Initializing Quick Scan. Quick Scan commencing. [Then he's silent for about thirsty seconds to a minute.] No errors detected. Deep Scan recommended at earliest possible convenience.

[Then he blinks and now would be the time his eyes are dilating, and confusion coming to his face.] What...?
misterious: (The question is not if; but how.)

Most individuals are. [ in a battle of bitterness, she could probably top him. Her voice has a cold, cynical edge to it when she replies. ]

[ lol. Nice try. ]

Good for you. Do you have a game plan, then?
misterious: (You have the grand gift of silence)

[ Your answer pleases the information distributor, who pulls a stack of handwritten reports from her coat pocket. ]

This is just some of what we have. I can have a digital copy made, if you prefer.
misterious: (Un moment; s'il vous plait)

There isn't one. I've been meaning to make one, anyway.

The technology here is similar enough to Western formats to make it functional, so it should be easy enough to translate and convert the documents into Shift-JIS and put them on a series of 8 inch floppy disks. Assuming that'll work for you. I'm sure it won't take more than 10 of them.

[ She's completely straight faced about that. Yup. ]

misterious: (Oh; he's killed the dog. Again.)

[personal profile] misterious 2013-03-01 03:24 am (UTC)(link)
[ It was mostly to see if that'd bother him, but alas. Keeps rolling on. ]

Floppy disks? ...Probably not. I do have a thumb drive or two lying around...

[ Shade HQ isn't accessible by outsiders, so she can't really take him to work. 8|a ]

Computers exist, but the infrastructure for an internet connection doesn't. I don't think phones work, either. An associate had a mobile phone, but the only thing that worked was the camera function.
misterious: (Then it's not official.)

[ I'LL FIND SOMETHING. 8|a ]

I see...

I'll see what I can do. You're free to read the physical copies in the meantime.

misterious: (Why are you always suspicious?)

[personal profile] misterious 2013-03-01 03:50 am (UTC)(link)
[ Oh. It's been a while since she's heard that one. ]

...You're welcome.

[ gestures to the directory ]

This will help explain the domains of the Thusian gods, as well as what they offer.
misterious: (Should I answer chronologically)

As previously stated, there are two gods who may be relevant to your interests. Kain is responsible for inventions and creation, as well as their repair. He can be a little abstract, but... friendly... overall.

Eizon's domains are electricity, advanced technology and... control. He's... respectable.

[ But in her opinion, not likeable. But liking someone and respect aren't mutually inclusive. ]
misterious: (Never theorize before you have data)

[ Oh, poor you. ]

He was partly responsible for a community-wide event that temporarily altered the behavior of everyone who participated. Of course, the power gained from that event did go towards improving public infrastructure. Nothing comes free.

misterious: (Invariably; you end up twisting facts)

[personal profile] misterious 2013-03-01 04:26 am (UTC)(link)
[ She might spy on him at work and popcorn.gif that for lulz if that's cool... '-' ]

Shall I wish you luck?

[ because she's not going to volunteer to hold his hand through a god chat. ]
misterious: (And trust me; I'm a professional.)

[personal profile] misterious 2013-03-01 04:55 am (UTC)(link)
[ She doesn't sleep. Much. Well, she lives in a cubicle which is surrounded by security cameras. ]

[ slides in as close as she can get to his ear ]

...good luck.
misterious: (Cour; petit lapin; cour.)

[personal profile] misterious 2013-03-01 05:25 am (UTC)(link)
[ gosh, it's almost like he's a real boy 8|a

She backs off, but pokes at his cheek with a gloved finger. ]

You're welcome.
misterious: (Have the newspapers got wind of it)

[personal profile] misterious 2013-03-01 05:45 am (UTC)(link)
[ the last time a boy called her cute to her face, she acted offended until he took it back. And then she laughed at him. ]

[ And slipping even further away... ]

Got a name?
