[Maybe you have gotten used to the regular hum of the HQ's engines as it flies slowly over a rippling canopy. Maybe you even find their sound soothing as you drift off tonight... Or maybe you don't drift off at all, maybe wherever you are, whatever you were doing, you just find yourself inexplicably sleepy.

Whatever it is, you end up in dreams. Your dreams? Or someone else's? It's hard to say.]

For those of you who have never participated in a dream post, everyone interested in running a character's dream posts a top level comment and people comment to that to be in that character's dream. There are basically no rules about how it works! Be a lucid dreamer, don't be, figure it out halfway through, push and pull between who controls the dream. w/e have fun! If you need an OOC excuse to be asleep you can totally assume Rew's power just made your character unreasonably tired at some point. Solitary dreamers will find ocean waters rising in and drowning out their dreams, but Rew won't be making any appearances in this post.))

That roof there looks stable, but getting up to it --

[draws her innocence, a large flat blade from her arm] I'll boost you?

Why don't I boost you? That way you can give me cover while I climb up.

[And it's probably easier for him to climb up on her own than her because well VICTORIAN DRESS lovely as it is. (and heels)]

[Grabs a windowsill near the rooftop and hauls herself up onto it, then from there onto the roof]

[the feeling of being chased intensifies, however]

[Ugh. The worst feeling]

[Let's just hope that shadows don't climb, and the two of them can find a nice patch of sun (or roasting building) to keep the it at bay]

[Once Alma clears the windowsill, Lavi hops onto a first story sill and starts ascending the building as well]

[darkness starts crawling up after you, tendrils quickly starting to wind around your legs. It doesn't feel so much like actually catching you as a cold numbing. Alma's blade slices down past you to cut them off, but they dissolve, then begin to reform]

[Not good! Not good! Grits his teeth as he uses his arms to pull himself up to the edge of the roof rather than his legs]

[What the hell was that---!?]

Move away from the edge!

Come on! [Alma stubbornly tries to grab Lavi to pull him up, rather than moving away at all]

[The shadow shifts back a little and begins to disperse, starting to reveal a more solid, writhing centre, almost visible as the darkness starts to vanish...]

[IS HAULED UP and too busy rolling over the lip of the roof to see the shadow become even more creepier than it already is]

[Oh and kinda busy trying to tug Alma away from the edge, too]

[goes with him, staggering back]

[The shadow clears to reveal a mass of writihing leaves and plant matter and vines covering something red and scaly. The top part is split as if in a grin]

[Backing up even further]

What the hell is that thing?

I don't know! An akuma? But ... it doesn't seem like...

Vines...

[Looking around on the wood for a piece of wood laying around or something he can yank free easily]

Maybe we can burn it.

[it laughs and gestures towards its midsection. Vines part to show wood beams like ribs or a cage, and inside appears to be Kanda Yuu, unconscious]

[Alma is having a nightmare about angry!Kanda that was drafted. Lavi almost opens his mouth to say 'Yanno, he's probably actually on a scouting mission and things are okay' but that is hard to believe when there is an angry Thusian plant monster around]

How confident are you with your aim?

[JAMMING HERSELF INTO ITS RIBCAGE, SCYTHES STRETCHING OUT IN EITHER DIRECTION FROM HER ARM]

[Hops down somewhere next to her, using a dagger to slice through the vines and other various plant-y appendages (that she hasn't already decimated) to get closer to the Kanda inside]

[straining against the pressure of it trying to close down on her]

[meanwhile it's roaring and rocking and trying to throw them BOTH off]
