Who: Shepard and you?
When: Day 108, early afternoon
Where: AROUND
What: Official return from nature!!
[So there's a (familiar to some) dude in armor walking around HQ after having words and disapproving glares exchanged with his double. His face is bruised and bloodied, and if you've met him before the glowing red facial scars and eyes may seem a wee bit redder than usual. His armor is all scratched up and he looks tired, mildly irritated, and overall just unpleasant.
His eyes occasionally shift as if he's looking for someone, but aside from that he doesn't seem to be making any contact what so ever.]

And here's a man looking like he's possessed.

You know, everyone seems to have a comment on how shitty he looks.]
Good to see you too, Isabela.
no subject
I thought you'd gone and gotten yourself killed. Did someone did you up?
no subject
That hurts, Isabela. Thought you'd have more faith in me than that. [He gives a casual shrug of his shoulders.] Got a little lost. You know how nature is.
no subject
I do know how nature is. You're more likely to get something chewing on your face than lost. Unless you're wandering out stupidly far.
no subject
Shit happens.
[He also doesn't really want to talk about it.]
no subject
Take it as a cautionary tale not to get too busy scratching yourself to pay attention to where you're going.
no subject
No wait, he doesn't actually have a comeback for that because he wants to change to subject all together. Damn you, woman.]
Noted. How have you been?
no subject
Just living the exciting life of a captain without a ship. There was some thing about a swarm of the dragon wannabes, but don't ask me about it. I was drunk at the time.

CHRIS!

Looking over! And yeah, sure smiling a wee bit, though it's a pretty tired smile.]
Leo. Glad to see you remember me.
no subject
I expected you to come back with that giant one-eyed lizagon that attacked us. You stayed out a long time this time.
[ He's not exactly sure how long. No one told him you were exactly.. missing, and Leo remembers you vanishing for long periods... ]
no subject
Uh, didn't exactly intend to stay out as long as I did.
[But Leo doesn't seem to realize he was lost for weeks, so Chris won't say anything.
Hopefully the others won't blab.]no subject
I was gone for awhile with Ygin, but a lot of stuff happened afterward. Jane nearly choked me holding on to the tags you ga-
[ O-Oh. They were twins.. maybe that's why. Leo slowly turns around and looks at Chris directly, wincing at the weirdness of bright red in his eyes. He slowly reaches around his neck and pulls the tags out slowly, starting to pull them over his head. ]
They really helped me focus after what you said... thank you.

[He'll go willingly. And, yes, that broken wall sure hasn't been fixed yet. But honestly, a broken wall looks damn well better than lots and lots of nature.]
She...did, did she?
[Well, she punched him for the tags. But he's happy to hear that they were able to help Leo.]
[Sincerely.] I'm glad they helped.

[ He's smiling and all, but it's pretty clear that he had an impossible time sleeping last night, and didn't get much rest at all if the circles and tired expression are anything to go by. Leo turns, leading and waving his hand just a little after giving the tags back, his head bowing as he drives on. ]
Oh yeah, and .. you got adopted into the family. Jane's an evil stepmother, and you're.. what.. our uncle? Aren't uncles supposed to bring back things from trips... ...eh.. except lizagons or snakes. [rubs his side in reminder]
no subject
Then his head snaps up and he...stares.]
...Uncle?

[bumps into before pulling back from, a bit dazed and probably more than a little scared of the man bruised and bloody]
Oh-! S-so sorry...

[Okay, he knows he's not the most friendly looking person but c'mon. Holding his hands up so the poor guy doesn't think he'll murder him or anything...]
It's fine, don't worry about it.
no subject
no subject
...Why? Do you need medical assistance?
[Because surely you're not talking about him. He's totally fine.]
no subject
[No, no you're not.]
no subject
Oh, that? I'm fine. It's nothing.

[Damn his renegade scars with their glowingness tends to make it worse sometimes, and spending all that time in nature certainly hasn't helped.]
Really, there's no cause for alarm.
