The Plot Strikes Back

Who: Coren & Everyone.
When: Day 107, Early Evening.
Where: Shrine Room.
What: Plot & Mingle.

[ Despite the memory shenanigans that have been happening the last few days, today has been exceedingly quiet. Perhaps some were nearby to witness the events that took place and returned the memories to those who had yet to find them. Some items with memories in them still might remain behind to be dealt with on another day, but there are more important matters to attend to.

Tonight there's certainly a rustling in the hallways, a flapping of wings. You have never seen so many birds in Thusia before, and they seem completely benign. In every inhabited hallway of the headquarters, there are large and small birds flying to the nearest door, tapping on it with their beaks, and leaving notes to meet on the fourth floor at the shrine room. Where the birds won't or can't go, there are illusions of signs requesting your presence for an urgent matter regarding your home and your memories, trails of light that lead you like an illuminated map from where you are toward the shrine room. If you shut your door on them or tell them to go away, neither will invade further. Aside from the birds roaming the headquarters and the commotion in the shrine room, life goes on. ]

[ Waiting | The Meeting: 2, 3 + 3.1 + 4, Final Questions. ]

( ooc: For those who didn't get to participate in the memory event end, we had to cut things a bit short, but we promise a more open end next time. We didn't get to do nearly as much as we had planned. )

I'd be willing to try it before shipping us across some strange planet with no real destination in mind. ... We still have too many people lost out here to abandon them.

The only trouble is time. We were told days. That was... [pauses, thinking] Five days ago, now.
sharksong: (We could lose)

Mm . . . I think we can trust this guy on the time estimate. We know they definitely want us alive, so I don't think they'd overestimate on time . . .

We should still rush either way.

[Stares at the god for a moment but doesn't respond to him... :|]

Yeah. If I'm being honest... I'd prefer we make enough arrangements that we have both options available to us. If we have no other choice but to move to survive, at least we'll be able to.

[Just a bit louder, in case gods are still listening.]

But even then, it should be our call.

[Likewise ignoring Coren]

I agree on all points. We can divide the work to make sure everything's been covered.

I can start by speaking with the lizagons upstairs again, to find out what they think of all of this. They might be able to confirm or deny it... and I'd rather know ahead of time if we have to count them as enemies, too.
sharksong: (I can see them necking over there!)

Eh—are you the same one who spoke with them before?

Mm, that was us. [Gestures to Tempest] Why?

How did you do it?

Tempest spoke with Veseiy about meeting with them. Between her and Ptou, we were able to communicate with them well enough to form a truce... sort of.

They seem to value strength above everything else, so as long as we presented ourselves as equals and unafraid, they weren't hostile.
