WINTER WONDERLAND

Who: A whole bunch of snow and YOU
When: Day 104, late afternoon and probably until Day 105 at some point.
Where: 3rd Floor, Common Area
What: Because Albi wanted to be Jack Frost BECAUSE CHRISTMAS

[There will be a bit of a drop in the temperature of the third floor today. Nothing too bad until you enter the Common Area, where you will find a good percentage of it is, in fact, covered in snow. There's mounds of it all over and more than enough to play and frolic in. There's even one mound big enough to sled down. And there's an area over that that's just pure ice and there some ice skates along the edge.]

[Around the edge of of the mini winter wonderland are tables with coats and other such winter wear.]

((OOC: BTW, winter clothes will vanish when the snow does.))

Oh, don't be sorry. I'm not.

But going from being able to fly anywhere to...not, kind of sucks.

[Her voice cracks a bit.]

Sometimes I miss it. [ Sometimes she feels useless without them. ] It's all right, though. Not having it anymore.

[Andrew can totally relate to the "feeling useless" thing. Even if he can still float and use his powers flight meant he was strong.

So when she says it's all right, Andrew kind of looks at her disbelievingly. But he won't call her out or anything, he's pretty sure that'd be rude.]

Maybe when I get stronger again I can...take you flying?

[Oh wait, no, Andrew what are you doing? Kind of looking alarmed at himself for a second there.]

I mean -- since you miss it sometimes, like it's no big deal or anything.

[WHY DOES HE TRY TO BE NICE HE JUST SOUNDS DUMB UGH.]

[Not dumb. Well-meaning but naive, perhaps. So many complete strangers willing to offer kindnesses to her— Lenalee wonders when (if) the culture shock will wear off. When (if) she'll let down her guard enough to consider accepting.]

[Andrew can kind of get that. He's still not used to people actually. Wanting to talk to him. And he's trying to reach out more, but he's having trouble with the whole, how much is too much niceness thing.

Socializing is hard.]

Lenalee. It's nice to meet you. You know Lavi, right?

[Yes, that too. And people. People are hard.]

Lavi? Yeah, he's a...[Friend? Can he even really say that word anymore?] I know him, yeah. Why?

No reason.

[A white lie. She's protective, likes to know the people her friends spend time around.]

I just thought I'd seen him talking with you before, in passing, but I wasn't sure. We're from the same place, he and I. Sort of.

[Your friend spends time around a crazy person!]

You mean that place he was in before here?

[He can't remember the name, but he remembers Lavi mentioning being pulled into some other world before Thusia. Apparently that's a normal thing.]

No, I mean the place he was in before that. That world he was born in; it was almost exactly like mine. He knew a Lenalee. I knew a Lavi. They were just. Not me-Lenalee or him-Lavi.

[UMM...]

...So, like, some alternate...world, thing?

[Sheepish:] Something— like that.

[His brows furrow in thought a moment.]

Wait, so is that why there's two of him? Or does he just have a twin brother he hasn't mentioned...?

[He never really got the whole, different universe timeline thing THIS IS ALL NEW TO HIM and he hasn't exactly addressed Lavi with this yet.]

Two, yes.

[Thinking too long on how many more of Lavi, of her, of everyone there could be in any given universe... Lenalee would rather abstain. It's an awful thing, the mind, and she hates to let hers wander.]

But both with different memories and different lives.
