WINTER WONDERLAND

When: Day 104, late afternoon and probably until Day 105 at some point.
Where: 3rd Floor, Common Area
What: Because Albi wanted to be Jack Frost BECAUSE CHRISTMAS

[There will be a bit of a drop in the temperature of the third floor today. Nothing too bad until you enter the Common Area, where you will find a good percentage of it is, in fact, covered in snow. There's mounds of it all over and more than enough to play and frolic in. There's even one mound big enough to sled down. And there's an area over that that's just pure ice and there some ice skates along the edge.]

[Around the edge of of the mini winter wonderland are tables with coats and other such winter wear.]

((OOC: BTW, winter clothes will vanish when the snow does.))

Sand always seemed a bit more finicky. Too dry or too wet and it crumbles.

[Frowning at the boot.] Stone will be harder...metal should be thin...

Do you need help with the stone?

It's not something I work with a lot. The metal is thin, it just needs to be enough to seal off the cold, but the stone is more difficult.

I could help, if you want. I mean, since I'm an earthbender and all, and they're my shoes.

[Earthbender. No idea what that means, but...perhaps that's why she can see through it.]

[And she will pop off into the ether for a minute or two and then return, with a pair of boots with a sealed metal bottom.]

[Holding them out to her.] Will you be able to work with these?

[and you probably get to see the fun of Toph being out of practice in shoes... well, until she cheats and bends the metal to fit her feet as she walks]

Not as well as with bare feet.

But I don't have ice between my toes.

Will you still be able to with the rock? It'd harder to make seals with work, but the metal would be dangerous alone.

Yeah. Bit harder to walk in rock, though.

And it's not like metal will cut me if I don't want it to.

It's not the cut, it's more the cold. Metal will frost up and won't insulate as well as the rock the heat from your feet.

It can be easy to forget.

[Hmmm, then what would be best to show you. You can already form rock into shapes it seems like. Ice skating is out. Maybe sledding, or...]

[She scoops up a handful of snow.] I think, perhaps, you would like the concept of a snowball fight.

Yes, but a bit easier to get your ammunition. And larger, depending how quick you are.
