WINTER WONDERLAND

Who: A whole bunch of snow and YOU
When: Day 104, late afternoon and probably until Day 105 at some point.
Where: 3rd Floor, Common Area
What: Because Albi wanted to be Jack Frost BECAUSE CHRISTMAS

[There will be a bit of a drop in the temperature of the third floor today. Nothing too bad until you enter the Common Area, where you will find a good percentage of it is, in fact, covered in snow. There's mounds of it all over and more than enough to play and frolic in. There's even one mound big enough to sled down. And there's an area over that that's just pure ice and there some ice skates along the edge.]

[Around the edge of of the mini winter wonderland are tables with coats and other such winter wear.]

I'm used to this kind of weather: we had it in my childhood.

And if it's cold enough, you don't get that wet from snow. It doesn't melt on your clothing.

Dealing with ice fairies has made this kind of thing a little dangerous. Not a big deal but they're fairies, which means if they get a chance to make you sick, they will.

Magical beings are often a different matter entirely.

Got any experience with them?

It depends. I've dealt with shadowspawn before, back home, but those are more creatures mutated by magic. I ran into a darkfiend once, and that's about it.

I know some adepts could summon elementals, but I've never seen it done.

That sounds like too much of a handful to me. And I don't even like how 'shadowspawn' sounds.

They're about as pleasant as they sound, yes.

As long as I never see one, I'll be a happy person.

Thankfully, everything here seems to be non-magical animals. Large and dangerous ones, but not magical.

The bigger they are, the easier it is to avoid them.

Except that some of them now know where we live.

Yeah but it's probably easy enough to hear them when they're coming.

True, but knowing they're coming and knowing what to do when they arrive are two different matters.

Kicking ass if the only thing I know how to do so it seems pretty clear cut to me.

Hit them as hard as possible in the weakest spot, sure.

I'm somewhat sure that won't happen.

Just remember, it's a hassle for friends to find the sacrifices to bring you back.

And that you already died at least once to come here.
