[If you pass through the Shrine Room today, you'll feel as if you are passing through a cool breeze...it makes you feel relaxed...talkative...in the mood to overshare a little, especially to those you don't really know.]

A celebration of time and the knowledge learned. Come, share what you know with those you do not.

[There are simple juices, fruits and foods on a table in place of Kain's usual shrine as well as a large mirror. Instead of showing reflections, it shows an etch-a-sketch display of whatever you are talking about.]

[OOC: Kain wants people to break out and meet new folk, share new knowledge! This is your chance, tag at least one person you've never tagged before! If you do, flag your subject with TAG and Kain may gift you with something cool!]

What sort of tools?

Construction ones. Anything you might use for building things.

Really? That'd actually be really useful.... we could use things like that around the Inn.

I figure it's more useful to ask the gods for tools to build new things -- and more tools -- than to keep asking them for things.

It does make sense... I guess I just haven't thoroughly looked into what all of them offer yet. Got used to dealing with everything without any sort of gods.

That's probably better in the long run.

Most of the places I've been work that way, and it seemed to work all right every time.

At least without any direct interference from them.

Nothing definite. Has there been news?

Mm, maybe a hint of progress. The gods here can, apparently, be altered, so there's an attempt being made to change the one ruling over death. Slow, but it's something that can be worked on while other options are explored.

So we could make it that, when we die, we go home? Or at least to whereever we were supposed to go.

That's what we're trying for. It'll be hard to know if it works, but it's worth trying.

Yes. Or at least giving people the option. I don't know what the afterlife of my own world is like, but... [shrugs] It would be nice to at least have the chance to get a message to the people back there.

I don't really know anything about the afterlife in my own, but... mm, it'd be nice to be at rest with the people from my own time and plane instead of one I don't belong to.

I suppose so. If it's the only chance to see the people I left behind...

It's at least something of a chance. I'd prefer going back alive, but I don't know if that's an option.

There's bound to be others working on ideas. And enough planes collected here that, if we pool what we know, we're likely to get somewhere eventually.

I wish I knew more about this sort of magic.
