What: Akito is looking for Ikki. Again. And it's probably going to end horribly... again.

[Akito's exhausted. Agito's exhausted. Which is probably why he decides he's too tired to deal with this anymore - the guilt, the apologies, the thinking. He knows that he's being stupid, and it's hurting Agito, and he needs to stop. He also knows that he's not the only one being stupid.

Which is why Akito decides to go and seek out Ikki before he can change his mind about it.]

[Akito didn't expect to run into him with another person, though he doesn't know why it would surprise him - his own Ikki was always surrounded by friends. He hesitates for a moment, flexing his toes on the cold floor.]

Ikki-kun.

[stops . . . glances at Akito, but doesn't acknowledge him back verbally]

[It's more than he expected, at least.]

Ikki-kun.

[raises an eyebrow, but nope, not saying anything]

I apologized for everything I was sorry for, so I'm not going to apologize anymore. Akito is Akito and Agito is Agito, not Fang or Sparta. [He frowns.] You're Minami Ikki. Crow. Raven. Whatever you want to call yourself, you're still an Ikki even if you're different from mine.

...The first thing I found out after I died was that Ikki-kun died. I denied you were an Ikki at first because I didn't want to have to think about that along with everything else.

. . . there's no "at first" - you keep rejecting who I am. I even made it easy for you, so you don't have to think of me as Ikki, and you won't even accept that. You're so caught up in me not being him that you can't see past it.

I haven't kept rejecting it! Have you been listening? You're an Ikki, but different from the Ikki from where I come from. Like you came from a mirror that was broken, so the reflections stopped matching up.

It was hard enough grasping that I really was dead, let alone the whole 'there are multiple versions of me and Ikki-kun' thing! Of course it would take me time to wrap my head around it! I already apologized for that, and said that you're an Ikki - just not the one from my side of the mirror, so to speak.

So is suddenly accepting it supposed to mean something? If I remember right, you insisted on calling me Itsuki, a name no one uses, ever. If anyone isn't listening here, it's you.

[His voice was slightly raised at first, but he soon lowers it. He can keep the same intensity and tone without the volume, unlike Agito.]

Are you just looking for reasons to stay mad at me? Because that's what it feels like! Do you not want me around because you're scared I'll end up replacing them? Because I was worried about that at first, until I realized that my heart has as much space in it as I want it to. And even when you're being a total... a total asshole, you're still stuck inside of it, right next to the Ikki-kun I fought alongside for so long!

[Akito brings the heel of his hand up to rub against his covered eye, then sets it down to pick at the hem of his top. He wavers slightly on his feet, but maintains his balance.]

The Ikki from my memories would never be this petty. Why are you so determined to never forgive me?

[Scowl freezes where he is, not even turning to look at him]

[Akito ignores him, assuming he's stopped because Ikki did as well.]

[That suits him fine! He's operating on "If I don't move he can't see me" mentality at the moment]
