...if he was already put under when you -- did that, maybe he was never in enough condition to regenerate like I did in mine. Even if... he recovered... the Noah probably wouldn't be able to wake him up later, so he wouldn't go full Akuma like I did... it's unlikely anyway. He's got so much less hate than we do.

It might be closer than you think. They both lived all the leadup to that. It was only after that changed.
