[at some point during the day (probably before all you kids started murdering each other), a notice has appeared on the notice board. it reads thusly:

On the night of ((October 13th)), a service will be held for the living to call out to the dead, and for those of us who've died to call out to those beyond our reach. Anyone who wishes to participate, either in earnest or in spirit, or merely to attend, is welcome. I'd like to request that if you do attend, please bring some purified wood or vine, suitable for burning.

The rite will be held on Level 5, under the uncovered part of the dome.
