Behind her, on the counter, are plates full of snacks (and a certain nine-tailed fox working diligently to prepare more), tea kettles, and the usual half-drunk bottle of booze. ]

I'm sure a thing like that can be managed. Rather, Kirei didn't seem to be rotting while he was undead. Mostly he just seemed to be able to be stabbed a lot without minding.
