What: A story.

[As promised, Albinia is sitting in the shrine area. The temperature might be a bit cooler there, but that's more for the snakes' discomfort than any of you.]

Well, I'm not lying.

Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuut I doubt things are going to get better anytime soon.

Yeaaaah, it doesn't seem like it.

I heard some of this from [Saying the name carefully:] Ur'ghaste this morning.

It seems like they're telling the truth at least.

The truth as they perceive it anyway.

It's not like we'll get the point of view of the people who were killed.

I was more thinking about talking to the nature gods.

Every story has two sides.

[Wraps an arm casually around Alma's shoulder, pulling him closer]

I think that of the gods, Albinia is one of the most trustworthy because she is the goddess of responsibility. And she feels responsible to us, because without us, they're all goners, yeah. The story she's telling - I think she believes that it's true.

[Taps Alma on the nose]

Now, whether or not it's actually true is another question entirely.

I think there is more to the story than they are letting on. Lots more. And I think it'd be rash to jump to the conclusion that all nature gods are evil without trying to understand them first. Or meeting one that wasn't so cranky.

[Squirms a bit but settles in next to him, crunching his nose at the bop though.]

She seems very honest about her feelings and opinions on the situation. [Watching everyone yell at her and make her generally upset and a bit icy.]

But you're right, nothing is ever that simple. Just because someone paints themselves up to be the good guy doesn't mean they actually are the hero of the story. Or that the "villain" doesn't have their own reasons for fighting.

Everyone has a reason for fighting, ourselves included.

And we want to side with those who shares the same interests as us, yeah?

Yeah. Or at least doesn't actively try to kill us.

You're better at... politics and that stuff.

'Course I am.

It's just trickier with gods. They have bigger egos. And domains that they have to adhere to.

I'm not good at talking to people.. and I'm not really a 'religious' person.

But this isn't just another mission to swindle through, it's a new world.

And an unstable one at that. Why couldn't we have been dumped off into a nice tropical paradise instead of a murder jungle?

Where are my hot girls with wings and harps?

We could have been busy drinking fruity drinks and laying on the beach!

--Although I'm not sure wings belong on girls, hot or not. [Angels... the idea gives him a bad taste in his mouth, spoiling the imagery.]
