[It’s during that overlap of dusk and dawn when the sound starts: a low treble growl, closer to a husky hissing that begins to filter in through the walls of the HQ. No matter where you are, you will find yourself stirring to the sudden feeling of being alone, in the dark, uncertain and very afraid. Throughout the hallways floors are little puddles of water here and there, as if something had been tracking in the pouring rain outside. Do you investigate?

The sound moves as if it is traveling through the walls themselves (which is a silly idea…right?) and if you’re willing to follow it, seems to be heading towards the baths…

(OOC: Event time! Feel free to mingle, or if you're brave enough, head to the baths...)

[ closes his eyes briefly, and taps the butt of his weapon against the closest wall, and the floor, listening ]

[The walls appear solid, though whose to say until you cut in. The thick stone is bound to have cracks somewhere...]

[ frowns... well then, I'll tap at intervals to see if I can't sound out those cracks along the way. ]

[If you approach the common room, you'll notice that the rain outside is pouring still, pounding even, the sound harsh against the windows. The door to the baths appears open, although only the sound of dripping comes from within.]

[If you choose to venture in, what lights usually lining the walls are dimmed down as if the coverings are dirty. There are some faint splosh splash sounds, like things are dropping into the pool, which appears almost milky]

[the is the sound of rustling, like a creature being disturbed, and then the noise seems almost like a word.]

[The creatures slither off into the water and as the light shifts, you can suddenly make out that the lamps are covered in coiling snakes, huge and small ones, all wrapped around each other in an orgy of slithering bodies.]

Then we fear you, coiling brothers.

[The water ripples nearest to you, and something huge and blue moves just under the surface- a huge yellow eye flashes and disappears.]

[Something begins to rise from the water, dripping wet, gleaming in blue, gold, greens, and magnificent. The form looks like a man...man shape...with long hair but something shimmering under the dripping wet water. Scales line his body from just below his neck to past his knees. The scales glimmer greenish blue but when he moves changes to brown. A fat snake is draped across his naked shoulders.]

[He does not move, water still dripping off his naked form, the scales shifting in color. The snake flickers out its tongue and watches them.]
