(no subject)

Who: RIN, WISDOM & YOU!1 if you want.
When: Day 60, later afternoon/early evening
Where: the common areaaa
What: COOL STUFF

[ Instead of yelling to get your attention Rin just sets off what is essentially a sparkler. People are distracted by shiny things, right? Anyway. She might sound a bit snippy, but it's hard to tell. ]

We really need some kind of announcement system here. Hey, listen up! Wisdom and I have worked out a flare system for people who go into nature or are accident prone or get stabbed a lot and don't notice. [ like some people she knows ] Basically when you're in danger it'll send an alert and help people find you. Each flare has to be tuned up to you and after one use it's shot, so you'll have to get a new one.

If you want one, come and get one. If you want one for someone else you need to go get them and make them come here.

(ooc: general disclaimer that flares are only as convenient as OOCly you want to be convenient so if you want to be LOST IN THE WOODS!1 you can still get lost and people can still not find you. But if you want a convenient 'reassurance' sort of way to bop off into the woods for x period of time and not cause a panic attack, here is one that.. isn't drafting...!)

A lesser form, yes, and one I haven't given much study to. Though what you describe sounds far closer to Irisviel's version than the one I'm familiar with.

Many of the worlds I've been to didn't have anything like it at all. Maybe I should meet this Irisviel sometime.

She's quite pleasant company, though I haven't seen her around as often of late. She lives with her husband in one of the fourth-floor apartments.

I'll ask around. I haven't seen her come by the tea-house yet, not that I know of anyway. Thank you.

You said you hadn't much studied your own world's alchemy, but do you know anything about it at all?

It's an art similar to enchantment; there's a bit of transmutation, but nothing very complex. Mostly it's a pharmaceutical art.

Pharmaceutical? That makes it sound closer to Alkahestry.

That's a term I'm afraid I've never heard.

In my world, it was one of the two arts that branched from the original Alchemy developed centuries ago, that flourished in the East. An art that used the energy of the earth to both manipulate matter and heal people. Something of a counterpoint to our Alchemy, which served more as a weapon.
