Never actually tried to wash it off, might be able to 'wax on wax off' it. I'll test it.

So we're surviving via the God's charity. Ok. What sacrifices do they need daily?

I'm not sure it has to be daily, but many will take specific parts from animals that can be hunted, if you seek to exchange something. Some will also accept tribute in the form of an action performed in their name... Dellen, for example, accepts acts of giving or comfort to a human... You would have to say her name and dedicate the action to her for her to be aware of it, however.
