[There are a pair of teenagers taking up space in here today. One looks like he's just some chainsmoking jerk (accurate). The other looks much more together and approachable, dressed neatly and carrying himself with a calm, if serious attitude. Both of them are trying to get your attention, but it's the chainsmoking jerk who speaks up first, loud enough for anyone nearby to hear.]

Oi, I know this isn't some proper fucking meeting, but there's some serious shit that everyone deserves to know about going on right now. Some new, fucked up jungle sickness that's starting to turn up. We need to talk to anyone who knows someone that's slipped into a coma, and anyone who's interested in how to help with people who have.

[The calmer of the two clears his throat, leveling an even look at him]

. . . And we can explain what we know about it even if you don't know a victim or want to help.

Gladstone was my dog. Holmes just forcibly co-adopted him after I moved in.

He doesn't ever walk him or feed him or clean up after him. In facet, the only thing he does do regularly is experiment on him with whatever concoction he's managed to mix up for the week. If I had a pound for every time I come home to Gladstone keeled over sideways, not breathing, I could retired.

[approaching a two-story building that's been cleared out pretty well already. it looks like some kind of old clinic.]

You wouldn't mind if say, one arrived at the apartment then?

I could use someone to come home to that smells better than Holmes.

There looks enough space to set up some beds, rest areas, maybe a medicine dispensary area. [starts walking around, excited as well]

... I'm not sure he's bathed once since he arrived.

There's a closet at the end of the hall as well. Useful for holding extra supplies.

Perhaps I should pretend to be drowning in the bath. He might jump in.

[yay, it's like planning our nursery]

And perhaps we can work out an arrangement to be stocked up on bandages and medicine. I'm sure we can get others to contribute credit as well.

With your luck, that would end with actual drowning or CPR.

... Albinia's quite reasonable about that sort of thing. Perhaps we could ask her to patron the building somehow.
