I mean I'm not an art critic, so my opinion probably doesn't mean much.

But if the point of art is to express oneself, then it's successful. What's more important than the way I feel is the way it makes you feel. If you like it, that's what matters.

Why wouldn't your opinion mean much? It's... I think you're right. And I do like this, I like what I make and the way it brings life to the scenery, what it does to the walls, I love it.

I don't think it's being a hypocrite, we're just having a discussion, aren't we?

You're right.

But it's hypocritical to have expectations of being treated one way and treating others another.

Is it? I don't think so, at least, not universally. I'm different from other people, I have no idea about their thoughts or what they want to do, so what I expect of them... I-It's different.
