I'm not scared!
misterious: (When have I ever complained about you)

[personal profile] misterious 2012-06-26 08:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Sure. That's why you're clinging to that frying pan as though your life depended on it.

But since it you're not, there's no point in saying that it's a good thing to be scared. It's proof of an active imagination and concisousness of one's surroundings. Only a complete idiot with delusions of invincibility would truly believe there is nothing to fear in an unfamiliar place, especially one that can revive the dead.
tonewlengths: (Big wide world)

[Falters...] I'm... I'm not... I won't...
misterious: (You've won; congratulations.)

[personal profile] misterious 2012-06-26 09:39 pm (UTC)(link)
[Turns to face her as they reach the entrance to the kitchen, staring her down.]

You won't what?
tonewlengths: (Recoil)

[personal profile] tonewlengths 2012-06-26 09:40 pm (UTC)(link)
[No don't do that I don't even know what I'm trying to say, takes a step back]
misterious: (Go along; now. I won't be chasing you)

[personal profile] misterious 2012-06-26 09:45 pm (UTC)(link)
[And then her expression. . . doesn't exactly soften, but it's slightly less intimidating. Comparatively speaking.]

You don't need to answer that. Here's the kitchen.

[The kitchen is fancy and well-stocked. She's already making herself a cup of tea.]
tonewlengths: (Unsure)

[personal profile] tonewlengths 2012-06-26 10:37 pm (UTC)(link)
[Nods, following her inside ._. Glances around the place]
misterious: (This mustn't register)

[personal profile] misterious 2012-06-26 11:08 pm (UTC)(link)
[Mm. Tea. . . ]

Technically, there's some rule about helping restock things if they're used, but there are far more contributors than cooks, so it's unnecessary. . .

The ingredients might be unfamiliar, obviously.
tonewlengths: (Woobie)

[personal profile] tonewlengths 2012-06-26 11:16 pm (UTC)(link)
They will? [Nobody has told me about nature being weird yet]
misterious: (Go along; now. I won't be chasing you)

[personal profile] misterious 2012-06-26 11:21 pm (UTC)(link)
Lizards the size of horses. Batmonkeys with claw-tipped prehensile tails. Massive spiders that occasionally kidnap residents for snacks. . . Or try to. There're plenty of people who're more than happy to venture into nature and hunt them down.

The only thing that might be familiar are butterflies, which aren't edible, presumably. You could try, I guess.

[Loooooong sip.]

[H...HORRIFIED]
misterious: (Why are you always suspicious?)

[personal profile] misterious 2012-06-26 11:35 pm (UTC)(link)
They're avoidable. Like I said, there're plenty who can and do hunt the wildlife on a regular basis.

If you'd like to go out, you can always recruit someone as an escort.

A-And they can fight the spiders and things?
misterious: (When have I ever complained about you)

[personal profile] misterious 2012-06-27 12:00 am (UTC)(link)
Unless you'd prefer to do so yourself.
tonewlengths: (Oh I made myself sad)

[personal profile] tonewlengths 2012-06-27 12:09 am (UTC)(link)
No, I'm not a fighter.
misterious: (Je ne suis pas pressé.)

[personal profile] misterious 2012-06-27 12:18 am (UTC)(link)
. . .There's no need to feel sad about it.
tonewlengths: (I'm despicable)

[personal profile] tonewlengths 2012-06-27 10:10 am (UTC)(link)
It's more I'm sad in general...
misterious: (You've won; congratulations.)

[personal profile] misterious 2012-06-27 03:59 pm (UTC)(link)
And that's understandable.

What'll you do about it?
