What: Attempting to move in with some of those crazy color-coded kids~

[A derpy kid is peeking into Apartment E, carrying a bundle of towels.]

It looks like there's room in here...

He has a really great life for the most part... He's gonna be a stock trader when he grows up, and he'll be really rich...

[Sounds like there's a 'but' hanging in the air, and she seems really down about it.]

[Hmm.]

...But?

[She whimpers a little bit.]

He grows up to be a murderer and a rapist. I failed him...

Oh.

[She sniffles a bit, pretty upset by the thought. She pulls away to wipe her eyes, and forces on a strained smile.]

I just wish I could've raised him better.

Well...it's hard to tell how someone's going to turn out.

Yeah...you'd think I'd have the advantage there, but I guess not.

Why would you?

[Suddenly it dawns on her what she's been saying. Her eyes go wide and she puts her hand in front of her mouth. She forces herself to take a deep breath, and she lets it out as a nervous sigh.]

I guess...it's kind of silly to keep hiding it here...but...

[She looks around nervously, then murmurs very quietly:]

I can see the future.

...Woah. Really?

Really. That's...why my notebooks are so important. When I have visions, I draw them.

I didn't realize...

I...don't tell anyone. Nobody else has powers where I'm from. They'd think I'm crazy.

But it shouldn't be that odd. I mean, there's fate anyway.

People don't really believe in that stuff. They'd put me in the loony bin. Then they'd find out about--

[She presses her eyes shut and takes a deep breath.]

I...don't know if I should tell you. You...might not like me any more... I'm not as pretty as I look...

We've all got something in our closets. There's...something you'll either like or hate about me.

[She slowly rolls up her sleeve, displaying many small, circular burn scars. They're all healed, but they had to have been painful at the time.]

They're...all over my arms and my shoulders and my back...

[She presses her eyes shut, afraid of his reaction.]

...How did this happen?

My mom puts her cigarettes out on me when she's angry.

[She manages to blurt it out before her nerves swallow her, but she pulls her sleeve down and moves in for a cuddle, hiding her face against him.]

[Reaching to gently rearrange her hair.]

Used to. Not anymore.

Now Alex is alone with her...

[She starts trembling softly. She's never told anyone this before, it's a big deal to her.]

...Yes. I'd think she'll have more to do with him turning out the way he does. None of that is your fault.

[She whimpers softly, clinging tightly to him.]

I tried to be a good big sister... But I was so glad to die and get out of there...
