Who: Kidale, anyone
When: Day 10, late morning/afternoon
Where: Apartment A
What: A love song. Or a mingle, whatever.
I dedicate this performance to Dellen.
[So the derpy boy is taking a deep breath just outside the shrine room, before beginning to sing. His forehead begins to glow as he weaves his Essence into his voice, making it ring throughout the apartment, and possibly into the hallway just outside the door. SUMMARIZED BECAUSE I CAN'T DO LYRICS.]
In the Loom of Fate, some threads will always be intertwined. Such is the case with two heroes known in the First Age as Flickering Excellent Claw and the Ten Seas Prince. The first, a sorceress famed for her beauty, met the Ten Seas Prince in war. As her spells reshaped the very battlefield, the Prince alone would shield her from counterattacks; such was his speed that none noticed his presence -- none except for Claw, who came to rely on him being at her side at all times. So the partners became lovers.
But though the Ten Seas Prince protected his lover from all harm, the same could not be said for himself. In their final battle together, Flickering Excellent Claw regained her senses after completing her spellcasting, only to find the Prince fallen before her, pierced by a dozen arrows. Devastated, she drew him into her lap, and assured him: the cycle of reincarnation would turn, and his soul would be reborn into the world. No matter whether he returned as a man or woman, mortal or Exalt, she would be there, waiting for him. So the sorceress caressed his hand and kissed him, and the Ten Seas Prince passed away, content.
Only then did Flickering Excellent Claw permit herself tears, and in her grief, cast a great spell that buried her prince, herself, and every ally and enemy beneath a new mountain.
After the end of the Thousand Struggles Era, the lovers found each other, and upon hearing each other's voices, were overwhelmed with memories: the Prince, coming to his beloved's rescue, a discrete embrace at a party, a kiss, breath on each other's skin. So they were reunited, and died again during the Great Contagion; so they were reunited, and died again when the Fair Folk invaded.
Even now, some say that the pair have found each other once more, the sorceress and her guardian prince: two inseparable threads amongst the thousands running through the Loom.
