Where: FOURTH FLOOR, IN SOME EMPTY APARTMENT
What: lolol more magical experiments

or maybe you just are nosy or maybe you are pinged by swearing. which has happened with frequency about every fifteen minutes, and with vitriol.

but there's some girl sitting in an apartment up here. There's a pile of rocks next to her and a crazy magic circle on the ground in front of her with a rock shaped like a lopsided bowl in the middle. A lopsided bowl with a giant crack down the middle :T

There's also a notebook with some stuff written in it off to the side as well as some food on a plate ... study munchies '-' ]

I think it's pretty easy for some people to feel useless here.

. . . Being a fighter doesn't always help with that.

That's true but . . . 'someone I care about is lost' or 'I need to eat' . . . those are things that are helped a lot if you're a fighter. Waiting is the hardest, I think.

Aa . . . That's a good point. I don't know what I'd do if I had to just wait.

. . . You know the gods can give out powers, right? I'd get something useful from one of them if I didn't have skills of my own.

If the gods' powers work so well on the wildlife here I wonder why they need us.

To generate energy for them to have any power at all. Without people here taking actions that support their domains they're basically dormant.

So it is like 'prayer' is the source. Somehow that's even worse.

Not even a prayer. Just . . . some of the very nature of our existence. Rebellion, submission, control, caring, helping each other, hurting each other . . . Things we do every fucking second of the day. Things we can't not do, or that if we do try to avoid doing them we're really just feeding into the domain of a different god.

Just existing is enough for them.

I hate that.

Yeah . . . but there's not much we can do about it right now.

It's just really annoying. There's a lot of things to juggle here -- living, gods, the people from different timelines and people from our own.

Doesn't living cover all the rest of those?

Not really. There's surviving and there's dealing with all of that . . . but I think when you live you really need to live happy.

You've just got a pretty idealistic way of looking at some things.

Idealistic?

Yeah. Like you think life's supposed to be something you can easily snatch happiness from.

It's not easy. But . . . I've had the fortune to live an easier life than others so the only thing I can do is to live it well. I value my happiness. Everyone should value their own happiness.

I think most people know that much.

That's all it is. I value my happiness so I pursue it. It's not idealistic at all.
