thusia | Boss Fight~

Who: PEOPLE INVOLVED IN MONSTER HUNTING
When: Day 44, Noon
Where: Level 3 common area and Level 2
What: Boss fight

[SO as mentioned in the planning post, here is how things go down!

-At around Noon Del tells everyone is time to start

-There are four glass scepters floating above the ground, and will transport anyone who touches the top of them to one of four bubbles located well underwater in level 2!

-Inside the bubbles your characters can 'float' or 'walk' pretty naturally, and while they are large enough to hold everyone they aren't large enough to hold any bosses or for everyone to fight in there: in short, some people have to get wet!

-You can move the bubble around by picking up a glass scepter floating inside of it, but these can break so don't let them take any damage!

-Your characters can transport back out of the bubble by touching the top of the scepter again. There will be a thread for people staying behind to help out the injured

-You may assume Del is doing basic healing on injured humans (preventing death, full heals will be after the event). But Aviy won't actually be playing her.

-If you arrive late/leave early you can assume your character tapped in/out or handwave that they were always there/kept fighting, whatever!

-Any questions can be directed to Aviy in IRC for Groups 1 and 3, and Ten for groups 2 and 4.]

[still in the bubble for now but doing his best to observe what he can about the enemy. Man, if only all his materia hadn't disappeared.]

[Was hanging back, but joins with a white shield at one hand cutting through tendrils.]

[quickly making up a few vague illusions of the party members so the tendrils aren't catching real people at all!]

[ The attacks of the tendrils slow down, but there's a lot of them, and they seem to regrow just as quickly as they're cut down. ]

[ Not to mention that the source of them all, the crocagon, is circling back and making a diving charge straight at the bubble. ]

[hmmmm, can we rocket at the bulb???]

[ Rocketing the bulb works! But only once because after that the tendrils start to get in the way. ]

[ohgawd. MOVES TOWARDS BUBBLE TO HEAD IT OFF, blazing around in an arc to try to smash into its head and veer it off course]

[lllleaping back and away from the crocagon's path]

[okay okay ....]

[kicking off a few thorns to try and at least pull it out of the wayyyy]

[Following o' valiant swordsman. If headsmash is successful, he's going to try to shove a flesh eating butterfly into its brain. Which in the short term is going to give it a head ache.]

[ THE MOST STUBBORN CROCAGON, even with the sudden swordsmash into its head, which leaves a dent in its skin but not quite enough to pierce through, it keeps pushing forward, jaw snapping at anything in range. ]

[making an illusion of a goddamn razor lotus for it to bite down on]

[enjoy that]

[holy balls i guess i bounce and now i have to regroup if that doesn't kill it, swimming UP to try to go DOWN on it]

[ NOM NOM RAZOR LOTUS it does not seem particularly bothered by crunching through blades. ]

[UUUHHHHHH.]

[since no one else seems to be bothering. grabbing the scepter and attempting to maneuver the bubble out of harm's way asap. Whether it works or not, well, at the very least he's trying to keep the scepter safe.]

[ The bubble moves in the direction of the scepter! As does anyone in it, which is nicely out of the way of that first snapping bite. ]

[man i need to breathe it's been a while. heads for bubble.]

[ The creature sinks below the bubble, letting the seaweed tendrils rise up to surround the bubble and reach into it. ]

[well i guess now i know how screwed i'd have been trying to Thorn the inside of his mouth.]

[ducking in for a breath or .... several, then back out the top before the tendrils trap her inside it]

[god fuck riding A-T in water seriously - at least Sonia Road makes it something i can do, but what i really need right now ...]

[what i really need right now is a Fang, and i'm just not there yet ...!]
