I'm Becca, what's your name?

[s-stares at the hand... ... ... have a very light, very brief handshake, Becca]

Trixie.

Do you have enough blankets, Trixie?

Uhh. I don't have any?

[Sloooowly stands up, and ducks into the room she's been sitting outside of. She comes back out with two black and purple blankets, which she tries to drape on Trixie's shoulders.]

[no no no, skittering back a quick step or two, and holds out a hand for them instead]

Uh, careful with the whole 'touching' thing.

You're like me, then. But I've been trying to get over it.

[hands them over]

I'm a lot better than I was.

What do you want for these?

[shrug]

I give 'em out. Making 'em's something to do.

...I can't fight, so I gotta stay busy otherwise.

I'll bring you a dead thing later.

You don't have to. But thanks. I do the cooking for everybody, too, there in the big kitchen.

[sigh]

I just don't feel too hot right now.

I think it comes with the territory. Did you hear what happened?

[scoff]

I mean, everybody probably heard what happened.

Nobody's mentioned anything to me.

The water got shut off. I almost got killed and Dellen felt so bad about it, she ran off.

Dellen... the goddess?

Yeah.

[She pulls out a book and holds it out--it's her encyclopaedia of the gods. Unlike the directory, which lists what they give and what they take, Becca's encyclopaedia has hand drawn portraits and focuses more on what their personalities are like, and stories about the gods. Dellen's also has her origin story--humanity evolved naturally, but when they became aware of themselves, they cried out for gods, and their faith made the gods come into existence. The first god they called for was a mother for themselves--Dellen.]

[That finally gets a smile out of Becca. She's just a little bit proud of her encyclopaedia.]

[goes back to crocheting while Trixie reads]

[She pulls out two more books and hands them over. They have about 70% of the flora section and 80% of the fauna section for 'inside HQ' documented, complete with example sketches, and for the animals, dissection sketches.]
