What: TRIUMPHANT RETURN

[Look who's back from their nature exploration! Aside from both obviously being worn out and the bandage on Wander's leg, he and Edward seem to otherwise be unharmed.]

[There is a lot of nature stuck to Wander's sword, which he is kind of looking at now.]

Wander: Well, um, that was a good hunt.

Edward: It's too bad we don't have anything to show for it.

Yup. Mighty destroyer of nature.

Slayer of Trees, I suppose.

You cut down a tree?

We were attacked by moving trees.

Yeah, that happened to me and Wander when we went out.

Ah, did it? But you got away from them okay, it seems.

Yup. Killed it good and dead. And I made soup out of it!

...Out of... a tree?

It's a kind of spider. They stand really still and pretend to be trees, then when you turn your back on it, the leg comes up and they try to skewer you.

Those were spiders?!

Yep. Same ones your furniture's made out of.

And they can look like... trees?

*because seriously I've seen some weird shit but treespiders? seriously?*

Yep. Didn't Wander tell you about the one that attacked us?

*shakes his head*

How can a spider look like a tree?

Their legs are long and tree-like and usually covered in moss and other random shit just like every other young tree. If you don't think to look UP, you won't see their body.

...Ah. That... that would work.

Yeah. Did Wander really forget when we got attacked?

I don't know, he may have been distracted by something else.

Like getting attacked?
