Who: Edward, Wander, anyone
When: Day 40, early afternoon
Where: coming from the 4th floor
What: TRIUMPHANT RETURN
[Look who's back from their nature exploration! Aside from both obviously being worn out and the bandage on Wander's leg, he and Edward seem to otherwise be unharmed.]
[There is a lot of nature stuck to Wander's sword, which he is kind of looking at now.]
Wander: Well, um, that was a good hunt.
Edward: It's too bad we don't have anything to show for it.

I had to take my horse to get to the nearest river.

Jace really enjoyed it.

What would you like to know?

What was it like when you first met?
[Oh yaaay I love romantic thiiiiiings]

It was when I was in Sabra La Tau... I'd only been there about a week, maybe a little less than that, and there hadn't been any of the Judges' so-called Games yet during the time I was there, until that day. That first one I was called to... it was a mockery of a game at best, intended to force people into torturous situations. Something I wasn't ready for, and something I was left to try to understand by myself, with everyone else too shocked by what was going on to help the poor new kid. We weren't on the same team... we hadn't even met or seen each other before that day, but Jace still came over to talk to me and help me deal with watching people choose who to torture to avoid pain themselves.

Ah, that was...n-nice of him.
no subject
It was. It wasn't until much later that I found out some members of my team had been in conflict with him in the past, it would have been easy enough for him to refuse to help their teammate. But he was kind and understanding each time I saw him, and unlike them, he never treated me like I was less just because I hadn't been there long. It really wasn't long before we were close friends.

He sounds like a good person.
Was it difficult being friends when you were on separate teams?
no subject
It was hard sometimes. Not because we were on separate teams as much as because some of my teammates refused to resolve their problems with him, and because of that, didn't want me to have anything to do with him, either. Things escalated a couple of times, but he was my friend. I wasn't going to just abandon him.
Let me see your leg.

I am glad to hear you both stuck by one another regardless! I am sure it only strengthened your friendship.
no subject
It did. We were extremely close, even before we began to realize our feelings for each other.
no subject
When did you two realize your feelings for one another? Ah, if you do not mind me asking!
[but I would really like to know because squeee romance]
no subject
Not at the same time, exactly. To be honest... I was a little clueless about things like love. Maybe more than just a little. Jace had been in relationships before, he had a better idea of what it was like. He recognized his feelings for me long before I knew I had any for him at all.
no subject
Wow. So, he held in his feelings that whole time?
no subject
Ah... not exactly. He held them in for a while, yes, but if he'd waited for me to figure things out we'd probably still be waiting. Instead... he seized a moment.
no subject
Ah, that is very romantic!
no subject
Ah, it was. Even though I wasn't completely sure what to think afterward. Other than that I really did like it when we kissed.
no subject
[or maybe I am just romanticizing it way too much which is entirely possible]
