[Karl's going to giggle and limbo back and deliver a strong kick to Shadow's stomach.]

[But short of breathe doesn't seem to be one of the things he's suffering from. And he's smirking up at Karl.]

[He jumps up and to his feet.]

Hylians are a sub species of humans. Ears are different, a bit more attuned to magic, some stuff about being the goddesses chosen people. Of course I said Hylian because I didn't want to say human when yer asking such questions.

[And then his arm is stretching and the sword is stabbing...into the ground?]

Which is kind of funny. [The sword vanishes from sight.] Because I'll lie about being human too. So let's see whose got the better advantages. [The smirk widens before he bursts into that dark energy again, and vanishing down through the hole in the floor.]

[Karl just watches the Hylian vanish into the floor and his eye twitches. He should have known the little thing was human. Close enough to human anyway. Now he will wait for it to make its next move so he can try and kill it.]

[Karl isn't the only one willing to destroy a floor and cutting away the wood around his feet.]

[Watch Karl dance a little jig to try and avoid the stabbies. He can't stay long. The noise from this fight should be attracting people so...he's gonna turn tail and run for the stairs.]
