[They've been MIA since Day 36 evening, but now! NOW!! They're dragging each other sllllowly back into Apartmentsville, covered in blood and cuts and bruises. Exhaustion, too, sure is a Thing. And hunger. And dehydration…

Basically, they look awful.

... But there's something to be said for 'YAY THE FINISH LINE IS IN SIGHT!!1' relief.]

[healing is good. . . and although he hesitates at the sight of all of hte injuries, suppressing a wince as he does so, he immediately goes for the worst ones, wiping away the blood and cleaning them out as much as he can. t-this probably stings, Aoko]

[between the whimpers and the determinedly not making a sounds, there's a couple of rather interesting, if choked, curses.]

[starts bandaging a those wounds as soon as they're cleaned. it still probably hurts :(]

Aoko. . . [hesitating, finishing up his bandaging]

. . . we can probably ask Dellen to heal your arm.

[there's a pause before she answers, as she tries to get the pain (and her breathing) back under control]

I... don't have anything to pay for it with...

I don't either. Not on me. But I can find something.

[digging through the first aid kit]

We can splint and sling it until then.

[PROCEEDS TO SPLINT AND BANDAGE BROKEN ARM, THEN.

and then he pulls back and snaps his fingers and suddenly he is holding a white star-shaped flower!]

[That. THAT PROBABLY INVOLVED A LOUD, HIGH-PITCHED YELP OF PAIN AT SOME POINT. Or. Multiple points.]

but he twirls the flower in his fingers, before waving one hand over it and magically turning the petals black '^']

[man it's like she's barely seen any magic tricks before...

the whimpers of lingering pain trail off, and she just watches, bleary but transfixed.]

[waves his hand over the flower again and it ~*magically*~ disappears again]

[uwaa]

[pauses for a moment, tapping his index finger against his palm with a hum. and then he claps his hands together and magically produces a deck of cards from nowheeeere

shuffle shuffle]

Wanna help me out with this next one?

[hesitates]

[DO I DESERVE THIS '-'a]

[glances at her good hand; it's flecked with blood, but it's all dry.]

[... nods] S-Sure.

[places the deck on the couch in front of her, spreading the cards out in a line, all of them face down. they all have red backs, too]

Pick one.

[MIDDLE ONE]

[scoops the cards up again and stacks them before shuffling them]

Make sure you memorize what it is. Don't tell me, okay?

[nodnod]

[shuffles a bit more, before cutting the deck in half and holding one half out to her]

All right. Put it back in the middle of the deck.

[does as she's told, watching closely]

[places the rest of the deck back on the stack but doesn't shuffle]

Let's see if we can find it again~

[spreads out the cards in a line again-- wait a minute. one of the cards now has a blue back and it definitely wasn't there before]
