[Well, there's someone else strolling out of the shrine room. He's rubbing his forehead like he's got a headache and squinting a lot, but looks pretty calm otherwise.]

[...also, his clothes seem to kind of...move. Like his hat might be curling and uncurling a lot.]

An elf?

...what's an elf?

[There's a bit of tension in his frame upon seeing SOMEONE ELSE, but mostly he just looks miserable.]

[Going from all darkness to light is not...pleasant.]

A race from my world. Like humans, but are shorter, have pointed ears and live longer.

But if you don't know what one is, you probably aren't one.

[Twitches.] The shortness is because I'm young.

I'm a Hylian.

Hylian. Can't say I've met a Hylian before.

What rock have ya been living under?

[Pause.]

...how different? Like, parallel world different or just under the surface different or some way out there different?

[Looks around.] And what about this world? The World of Light didn't have walls like that...

[So...someone is kind of used to dying and waking up in another 'world.']

Some way out there -- well, that's the best explanation. Not under the ground or a parallel world.

We're in a different world now than the one you're from. We're in a building -- outside of three or four apartments, the entire place is covered in poisonous plants and filled with animals that think we're all very tasty.

Apartment?

...sounds pleasant.

A small suite of rooms in a larger building that people live in.

It's charming, really. We just discovered the spiders kidnap people to feed off of.

So like an inn.

I'll make sure to recommend it as a vacation spot for all my friends.

By the way, do people usually come here after dying? [So nonplussed by that whole...thing.]

Sort of, except the rooms usually have kitchens and living spaces. More like an inn, if each room was designed like a tiny house.

And, yes. The gods seem to have the ability to grab the dead and give them new life.

...huh, that's actually pretty smart.

[Pause. Wait, what.] Why the hell would a god revive me?

I don't think they have too much control. But, you can fight, right?

Of course I can fight.

Why would a god not have a choice? Aren't they supposed to be gods? [I mean, I worked for the king of darkness, this sounds like a stupid thing to do.]

[That movement is unsettlingly familiar]

[After a few moments, he senses the eyes and he looks at Climber. He's still squinting because, really, this is a lot of sudden brightness for him.]

What are ya staring at?

Y-You uh- Is your hat meant to do that?

Do what? [He glances at it and it takes a moment to click before his clothes settle and grow still.] Yeah, they move.

I-Is it safe?

... [Are you seriously worried about my clothes?]

They're just clothes.

[I am a living cloth mannequin that got possessed by the Big Bad Wolf and it looked something like this. Of course I am worried.]

Oh, okay.

[Meh, he just thinks that out of everything about himself, the clothes are the last thing to worry about.]

[Wait until he sees him shadow out, that'll be loads of fun.]
