Where: Hallway
What: Injury. Because she hasn't been tormented in a while.

[She releases a faint hiss of pain as she gingerly probes her side, examining the ragged gashes wrapping around her back. This isn’t exactly the result she had been hoping for when she’d left earlier this morning.

Grunting some with the effort, she drags herself up, leaning heavily against the wall. She closes her eyes against a wave of dizziness, loosely grasping at the wall for support.]

[She looks up when she hears him approach, hand clamped firmly over her side.]

I'm fine.

[It's a lie, but it comes easily, as much habit as anything else.]

That's a blatant lie if I ever saw one.

I'll take care of it. [She may be too stubborn for her own good.]

Even doctors need help with their own injuries.

[She would disagree. But she's too tired to argue, and she reluctantly pulls her hand away fron her side.]

[She shakes her head, quickly regrets it.] Some sort of large, cat-like creature.

Cat-like creature. Well, it's cost you a lot of blood.

[She shoots him a look.] So I've noticed.

Where's your flat?

Apartment V, on the far side of the building.

Well mine's just down the hall. Come on.

[offers his arm]

Jeeze, lady, ya can ask people for help.

[Coming over to examine her.]

[She manages a small smile, wincing slightly as she takes his arm, free hand covering her side again.] Thank you.

That isn't necessary. [But her smile's a little too forced.]

Yeah, yeah, ya know how many people say that? Not buying it.

[we shall hobble together. wincing himself whenever a bit too much weight goes on his injured ankle.]

No - well, minor problem, but I reckon we can make it. You know as well as I do that the hallway's no place to recover.
