You worry too much about unimportant things. Either you are the most selfish person in the world, because you don't have any care for the way things are done, and you'll destroy every boundary to chase whatever ideal you're after, or the least, because your happiness is built on everyone else's.

It's the same whatever you call it. So why worry over it?

He has the advantage over you, cheating boy. A lot of the cave kids are here, and he probably knows all of them. Dex, the eyepatch boy, no doubt they care for you, but you aren't really 'theirs'. I'm sure you don't want to completely go your own way, but having them be your priority when you aren't going to be theirs will just be painful, won't it?

So. Meet new people. Make new friends. Find a place that isn't right on top of his.

So yes, you're not all that much alike. But I'm not talking about you against him. Boy, it's really, truly, not all that hard to make friends.
