[So Ling has headed to the meeting place as soon as afternoon rolled over and the term for his agreement with Dellen has passed, waiting for Kakashi.

Unfortunately for him, THAT WAS A LONG WHILE AGO.]

At least I ate enough at lunch...

[doesn't pursue, but draws back instead, also on defense. the small throwing knife in hand held in a grip more suitable for a slightly larger weapon. stance is closed but loose, a coiled spring. very much calm, though there's a pressure in his stare as he watches Ling]

That was your one warning. When I say with killing intent, I mean it. Aiming for the blind side of a person who is accustomed to daily life and, from what you can assume, fighting with only one eye--that's practically an open invitation to slit your throat.

Take me seriously here. Dying will hurt a lot more than you remember.

[Still watching but not moving, pretty much thinking "he's serious".]

You're assuming I wasn't ready to to counter that sort of attack. Don't think I'm just some brat waving a sword around, I've had my share of experiences.

The only way you could have countered was to dodge, which isn't countering, but a good tactical decision.

[sidestepping here, glancing at his surroundings for a moment before locking his eyes on Kakashi again]
