What: Date Night!

[Becca made stir-fry for everyone else for dinner tonight, but there was a dumbird and some vegetables roasting in the oven. That's something special for her and Kidale to share. After everyone else has eaten, she carves their roast bird for them, and heads into the bedroom. There's even a vase with a fairy light in it set in the middle of the floor.]

C'mon, Kidale, let's eat~.

Well, it doesn't take much to make me happy. But thanks.

[settles on the floor and holds out his plate for him]

Where did you get some of this?

People bring me stuff from nature to cook. If I need something specific, I just hang around the door and ask anyone who's heading out there.

Wow. That works?

Yep~. You have to be a little careful who you ask, but for the most part, I can get anything I need that way. I even got a romantic flower just by asking a hunter~.

I guess people are better at working together than I'd been thinking.

Not everyone works together, but I try not to pay attention to them.

That's pretty much the way to handle it.

So~. I have a present for you~. A few, actually. It's a set of things.

[Ducking his head.]

You really didn't need to do that.

I like doing stuff for you. Seeing your face when you get something you like makes me happy.

Well, I'll try and repay it...

[She smiles and leans over to reach under her bed and pull out a large rolled piece of paper, tied with a strip of bandaging. There's several pieces of paper in the roll--one for each story Kidale has told her. There's a poster of the subject of each story: the Tree of Vars Truba, covered in unreadable writing; a giant firefly eating choke-vines; Harmonious Vengeance's last stand; the death of the Ten Seas Prince; and the Flickering Excellent Claw stepping out of the bath, tastefully censored by steam and objects in the foreground.]
