Well, who knows where all those souls went in the timelines where the world was successfully ended, but we were told they'd be released from the earth...

I know their death god specifically mentioned to one of the other teams that those who were from other worlds who got taken by the earth would be easily separated out and sent where they're meant to go. What I heard about was mostly in regards to people that were still alive, though.
