Low grade fever coupled with unconsciousness. Not known to be contagious, cures have existed but work only on an individual bases.

Death
The goddess affiliated with death is acive, as are her scaled, wolf-like creatures. If they kill a person, it is impossible for the other gods to revive them.
Those who die by other means also risk catching her notice and being ushered on. It is suggested that everyone avoid contributing to her power.

Plans to Drain the Second Floor

Yukari has already done a very admirable job of both organization and direction in regards to the issue of the water in the floors below us.

I would recommend all interested and unable to speak with her directly review the documents she has put on display between the kitchen and the shrines on the floor below.

You know, this is all great, and I'm all for draining the second floor, but we still need a way to actually get people down there.

As most are undoubtedly aware, three days ago there was an influx of snakes following a likewise troublesome influx of small frogs.

(If anyone should know of what prompted the frogs, and previous to that, the rush of flying monkeys, such information would be useful. It's starting to be a reoccuring pattern.)

His initial objectives appeared to be the subservience or painful death of those here; he seemed more intent on teaching 'lessons' than causing damage. Warnings from the god we know of support that he is best dealt with cautiously, if at all.

The current abundance of snake meat in the kitchen is due to efforts in making his time here less comfortable; as he is apparently tied to the rain causing us difficulty, support in that area is appreciated. Those not adept at hunting can see Kalidas for alternate arrangements.

Questions and further information in this area is appreciated.

If by 'down there' you mean under the water, Ur'ghaste has offered support in the form of granting gills and fins to those going beneath the surface.

At the time, I don't know that there was a clear plan as to the number going. However, I have started preparing supportive offerings for when they are ready. Given Ur'ghaste's nature, such things are better started in advance.

I want to help but I don't think Ur'ghaste-sama is a god I can sacrifice to. It's too late! I've spent the past few years stretching the bounds of my comfort levels and I can't go any further! But I didn't really see a lot of other people offering either, so I'm a little worried about how this mission is going to get done.

I had been concentrating primarily on pickles.

Of course. It was how we were first introduced, after all.

Given the more extensive nature of the current project, I have been focusing on slightly more exotic attempts—preserved snake organs, some slices of the fruit growing in the skeleton groove, some samples from the . . . sea bulbs? the seaweed occasionally growing on eels, when they're pulled in. Some few experiments with far more standard fare, blood mushrooms and tubers and the like.

By far, the most particular started growing in one of the corpses I'd left out as part of a separate offering.

Growth from stagnation, hah...? Okay! I'll buy it, but will Ur-sama? When I asked s.he wanted for some gills I didn't hear anything about pickling.

In regards to the snakes themselves: the smaller snakes are not poisonous; however the snake S'vx carries with him is, and rather painfully so. Attacking any of snakes in his presence is not advised.

When it is eventually taken down, I would recommend skinning it and tanning the hide. Even for someone of your figure, snake skin would make for a very fine belt.
