Who: Rapunzel and Pascal and others
When: Day 64, morning
Where: Level 4, by the fountain
What: Almost beautiful music

[Rapunzel is out kneeling by the old fountain today, a small chameleon perched on top of it and watching her as she whittles a flute. Every so often she pauses to test a few notes, Pascal either approving or giving her a thumbs down.]

You know Pascal, this would be so much easier if I knew what a flute was supposed to sound like.

[is wearing a heavy cloak over his shoulders, some sort of case slung over his back, a knife in a sheath along his hip. his posture is fairly rigid—he doesn't particularly scream "savory character," but his eyes are pretty :)]

What are you going for, exactly?

I don't think I'm getting the pitch right, I've only read about them but flutes are supposed to be quite high, aren't they?

[propping a leg up, draping his arm over his knee, casually]

[Hands it over, Pascal moving so he is between this stranger and his princess!!]

[turning the flute around in his hands, examining the distances between the holes she's carved so far]

[meanwhile, Tsukiyo pops his head out of Nezumi's hood and chitters, running down Nezumi's arm]

[There are four spaced evenly, but quite closely together. She's tried to make them all the same size, but two are a little bigger and rougher]

What do you think?

[Meanwhile, Pascal is perking up, oh look it's my mouse friend :D]

Not bad for a first try, but not great. You sure your fingers can cover these ones, though? You need to be able to stop the air entirely.

[Glances at her tiny dainty fingers (that sure don't look like they've ever been calloused from hard work despite appearing to have some skill with carving.)] I chipped the holes, so I was trying to round them out. I rounded them out too much...

Well, are you aiming to be able to play it regularly, or is it just a token gift?

[looking down at the animals]

I'm trading it to Ranniel for a guitar, but I would like to make one for myself once I can get it right.

[Her first thought is Sabra, but when she spots that necklace she brightens a little, touching her own.]

Yes, I am. You're one of Dellen's priests too?
